You Make My Heart Ache

You Make My Heart Ache

A Poem by Sonia

I watch from corners, hide through walls
Ensnare myself in shadows
The stronger sex, the weaker heart
Breaking through the rows

A step a gallop a stillness, retreat
But something holds me there
Her eyes her smile a lovely glow
Feet stop senses stare

Something given and fingers touch
Such a soft thing I've never known
I want to hold it there by she turns away
And the weakness has only grown

A picture of smallness a feeling of pain
Loss of hope for love to gain

Home again self image lacking
Wishes of her lips to be mine a smacking

A lot of places you took me in this poem. I feel the weaker sex can change places. The advantage can change places with time and need. Emotion can lead us to sadness or happiness. I did like the ending. A excellent poem.
