The Psychologist

The Psychologist

A Poem by slfisher89

“Look into the mirror; tell me what do you see?” said the psychologist. It is one of their sessions. She raises her eyebow: tilts her head. “Its face beams of happiness, it is eager to listen and help others.” said the patient.

Another session; “look into the mirror what do you see?” he said. She stares at the floor; slowly draws her eyes up. “The face is upset; its had a bad day” said the patient.

Another session; “look into the mirror what do you see?” he said. “Her face is solemn; her eyes are intense but somwhow glazed over” she said.

Final session; “look into the mirror what do you see?” she paused “My face is…. I am not sure.” she turned to the psychologist and asked “What do you see?” “I don’t know as well; but I see you” he said.
