Our Testament.

Our Testament.

A Poem by T. Wes Smith

I feel a lack to describe what it is I have come to know with you, these feelings you invoke from me, my soul, you’ve disemboweled all insecurities, all doubt of our triumph, could this be so easy,

I am still in awe of what we have created, God, I am sure is even impressed at our expediency, yet so carefully crafted, with such care and resolve. You’re words as are mine, so thought induced, well prepared as to portray exactly how we feel, yet pure in heart and delivery, we dare not send an improper message, you are my new beginning and chance to be better than what I have been before, let me bury the man I used to be, so that I can be a better me, for you,

With you at my side if not in person, than in presence, I am invulnerable, this is no delusion, I chose my words carefully, never would I claim to be invincible, it is much more powerful than that, with your love, your caring felt within me, I could face anything…anything, I could stare into the eyes of death, yet be at peace, in knowing we are destined to be… this is my testament to you.
