Fate.

Fate.

A Poem by Samantha Jenkins

When I saw you my heart,
skipped a beat,
or a few,
when you said hi,
your voice was smooth,
my heart skipped a few more beats,
when I found out you were taken by another,
my heart cracked,
five years later,
here we are a very good friendship formed,
when you became single,
we were destined to be together,
here we are six years later,
finally together,
fate,
it made it happen.

A VERY VERY quickly written poem, I took a mini break from my book and I am really tired.

Hi, Samantha! : )
Well, this is certainly a lovely Free Verse poem of wondrous romance, composed in a litany of emotions, realizations, and enduring affections your beautiful relationship finally persevered through until it came to be, and what a wonderful recounting your poetic voice has charmed us with.
The one thing that most impresses me about this piece is how well I can relate to it and understand exactly how wonderful it is to have finally found the harmony of real love.

Yes, "Fate" indeed … smiling here with a warm, happy heart … thank you, Samantha! ⁓ Richard ; )
