Love Poem to Eris

Love Poem to Eris

A Poem by Cupcaker Baker Maker
"

A love poem, dedicated to my one and fnord only non-extant goddess, Eris. Hail Discordia!

"

F**k you, You crazy b***h

(I would, too, if I had the chance)

Your gifts and glories, so rich

(Even if bestowed by happenstance)

Formless beauty, spawn of Até!

I dedicate myself to you!

Horrendous master, eldritch formed!

I’d never fain serve you!

The prettiest one, the vilest one:

Are all the same in your eyes?

Are there any you do or don’t shun?

Is your love-hate naught but imagined lies?

Fornicate!

Masturbate!

Consummate!

Masturpate!

And maybe kill someone!

Bring a flood to the drought

(That is, in my mind-body)

Drown me without fear!
(I can swim the Super-Sargasso Sea)

Intrinsically mad!

Intrepidly loving!

Interpolatedly glad!

Enterprisingly vengeful!

Also you smell of lilac and concrete.

Ravenhurst would be proud. In my opinion, you should switch masturbate back to masturpate.

The most I can say to this is, "...odd, but not unappealing." Not quite what I'm looking for in this contest, but I've really not anything to say other than "Masturpate" appears not to be a real word. I looked it up in two dictionaries and dictionary.com, but I couldn't find it. If you could tell me what it means, I'd love to know. Decent write.

Interesting character to write a love poem to, but it is very well written for the subject. Much respect to you for this.

The title caught my attention immediately. I had to wonder how someone could write a love poem to the goddess of discord. You have a sound sense of form and imagery. I'm impressed.

Ha, this is definitely an interesting love poem. Although, I really enjoy the point of view that is indeed a reflection of love untied. I'm surprised more people haven't noticed this interesting piece of work. I really like how it flows with up-down-but-still-the-same. Uplifting, and amusing as anticipated from you friend.

Ha, what an excellent way to end as well: "Also you smell of lilac and concrete." If that is not love? I don't know what is. Ha.

Keep up the awesome work.
