Copper Infinity Ring

Copper Infinity Ring

A Poem by dimmed-firefly

I bought a shiny copper infinity ring
They were selling two bucks a piece

I wore it on the wrong finger
I wore it as a reminder

It's only a copper infinity ring
It's only a temporary little thing

I am young, I am free
I will find my true infinity

But then time passed
The copper's shine didn't last

In the end I was left with only a rusty little copper infinity ring
But it was supposed to be only a temporary little thing
