dead inside

i took the strap

bore it down my back

i take the the pipe

hit it on my legs

the welts arrive 

letting me know, yes, i'm alive

even though i'm dead inside

an empty shell

taking all for a ride 

through this place like hell

i tally up each and every wrong

knowing i deserved it all along

i want to hide

cause i don't remember when i fell

it this a trap?

a place to die?

is it time for my eternal nap?

or yet another lie?

the tears come out

cause i know i'll never feel one of heavens precious crowns

i bring the knife

watching my blood gently flow

like my eternal strife

but its the only thing letting me know 

i'm alive

even though i'm dead inside

You should check out the Human Voice on here, writes like you, especially the poem 'Self Harm'. All this pain may seem like a curse now but it will provide you with a rich and deep understanding that people existaning in the light will never understand.
