A Chapter by marie

“has she been purified?”

the youngest of the edrians behind the table demanded. Amara shook her head forbidden to speak as it was i who was inquiring of them. they grasped my arms and cut open a gash with the ancient knife they kept upon the table. i gasped at the pain, i should  be used to it by know and yet i was not. it must be the human half of me. they poured a mix of the herbs beside the table into my wound some with pleased looks as they watched the pain it caused me.
