Dark place poem

The sound of loneliness is not a cry, its a whisper

a sigh carried away on the night breeze

A silent wish, breathed to an uncaring world

and should you want to, just for a moment

hear that sound

just listen to the sound

of one heart beating alone in the night

and pray you never hear that sound again
