I’m Alone

I’m Alone

A Poem by Alexandra

My color palette is getting too mixed up
I’ll turn into a black hole by the end of the night
Draw the lines of your love along my spine
Star what you like
Put flowers where you’ll plant kisses
Put your initials across my lips
Help this bitter soul become more human

Ever since my heartache
I’ve been the coldest
So many lovers
No time for any
Just for myself
If only you knew wanting me
Is the worst thing you could’ve done

And I try to drink it all a way
But, I can’t keep messaging Chris to make sure you aren’t there
I don’t know who would start
But, I know my fist would meet your jaw
Redact that
My fist would meet your eye
Take out your vision
Blur your peripheral
Where I’ve always stayed
Unbeknownst
Petrified
Waiting for you to come back
