LET OTHERS LIVE

LET OTHERS LIVE

A Poem by SAYED THANGAL
"

Some people often go out side in search of jobs, forgetting themselves and living for others, bearing all toils

"
Destined to leave and forced to flee
Forget to live to let others live;
Toiling over  seas away from dear ones
No permanent station any where else.
Letters and calls of unfinished demands
From the dear and near,
No relief from toil nor time to relax
Becomes a money maker; day in and day out.
Only a distant witness to the events,
Of marriage or death of the beloved,
Though a firm supporter from behind
Always a long and lonely sigh from yonder.
Infirmities and silvery hair remind him to return
But with diseases and liabilities hand in hand,
Echoes the lost youth and health
From within , the days of uncertainty to come.

This is deeply felt...the sacrifice of living and working for others and as you do giving up those things you love most deeply, the very things you are working for. This is very sad and so beautiful!

wow I love this one Sayed you hit gold in this one.. let me see I love the

"Destined to leave and forced to flee Forget to live to let others live Trolling over seas away from dear ones
No permanent station anywhere else
and

"Infirmaties and silvery hair remind him to return But with diseases and liabilities hand in hand"

A hard working man that loves his family and has to travel afar to do so..always aware that the money he makes is used for the rituals and occasions in life that he is absent for while working.. it is a paradox and a bitter sweet note on modern life. He is aged and worn by this life and realizes his youth is spent now that he is unable to work like before now he returns home to an undertaint future to come..
how sad and bittersweet and the feeling I got after reading this was a sad wistful happiness in there some also but nostalgia and longing for something different

True words sayed, sometimes we're so busy working and trying to get life in some semblance of order, we forget to really live and enjoy what we've worked so hard and strive for.
