I tossed and turned as I flailed about,

This man in my mind just would not get out

The terrors continued and with a fright,

He pinned me back down with a memory coming back to life

I screamed and I yelled for help all the while,

Then a surprise came to me in a touch and a smile

My boyfriend had comforted me and woke me with a gentleness,

A loving "It's alright dear" with a soft caress

After I was awake, yet groggy a bit still,

My boyfriend produced eyes as big as an aspirin pill

Then he looked into mine and without a hesitation,

Told me he loved me more than a nation

He then held me and stared into my eyes,

Jude asked me to marry him to my surprise

I found all of that more than interesting as my heart beamed,

Getting that from being woken up from a nightmare into a real life proposal of a dream.
