Turmoil breeds entrenchment

Turmoil breeds entrenchment

A Poem by Leo
"

..

"

I pray and meditate
Tribulations would fade
I stop and hesitate
Mood swings please elevate

I swim and exercise
Intrusive thoughts stab
I stop and hesitate
Self-will rises with a jab

I connect and disconnect
Cognitive dissonance hovering
I stop and hesitate

Resilience breeds recovering

I inhale and exhale

Radical gratitude remains

I stop and hesitate

God’s light prevails

Thank you Kay for your review..glad you liked it
This is a very unique style of writing, like nothing else I’ve seen. It’s clear you enjoy playing with words & combining them in novel ways, putting together a thought-provoking flow of ideas. Good job of choosing dynamic verbs in contrasting pairs. Even tho I enjoy a cerebral message like this, I also seem to be missing more of a sensory development – it’s all in the head, which is OK, but not as memorable to me as a poem with more imagery (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
