Ode to Katrina

Ode to Katrina

A Poem by AMetaphoricalSoul

An attack of the mind is a trifle of great malevolence

Yet an attack of the heart is a bittersweet movement of the soul

It is a mixture of severe elation with a quiet hint of dolence

Mind become devoid of lucidness and I feel in entirety whole

I am filled like juice to a sanguine tree

With a likeness and an inordinate volume of incentive

But of course the intention of sanguinity being but a bounty

Greatful yet unnecessary we may direct to inventive

I dress for the position I desire in lieu of possession

Taken over by a deficiency of emotional dominion

I surrender freely under hope of succession

Holding you up as your benevolent minion

In truth I find your inelegance endearing

Yet I aspire for this expression to be found unfearing
