emotionless

emotionless

A Poem by AMetaphoricalSoul

I try to think about a long time ago

when I could still feel any emotion at all

but now

I don’t even feel the pain and misery

like a dead and wilted black rose

picked from your neighbour’s garden

and pressed flat into a thick book

and later hung on the wall

as a reminder to myself

and now I am the rose’s dim shadow

hanging next to it on the wall

people stare as they walk by

they feel pity and sympathy for me

but they are too consumed in their own lives

their lives full of emotion

I try to think about a long time ago

when I could still feel any emotion at all

I REALLY like this poem it's completely reached out to me as if I could see you writing it
it has alot of potential and truely captures the feeling of numbness, even though numbness it to feel nothing, this poem reaches the limits of the impossible please keep writing YOU ARE AMAZING
