Secret

Secret

A Poem by AMetaphoricalSoul

A strange word
Secret
It seems to me the meaning betrays itself
No one can ever know a secret
If somebody knows it
Then it can't be a secret
Can it?
Because it is known
Or maybe if only one person knows it
Then it's their secret
Is that right?
If a secret is told
Then it mustn't be a secret anymore
Should I dwell on this thought?
Am I just wasting my time
Trying to figure out something
That doesn't really matter?
Besides
I don't fully understand it
I could think about it
For the rest of my life
And never get an answer
But now that I brought it up
It will bother me forever
How can a secret be a secret
If it is known?
Does anybody know?

Mmm- why not look for answers? Such answers could solve many problems of humanity ;)
Wonderful, thought provoking poem. Not many people write about secrets.
Believe me, however, this poem and these thoughts were hardly time wasting for both you and the reader.
Fantastic job my friend!

Haha...good, because I don't have an answer for you. ;) I like your style. I could never do it, but I appreciate being able to read it. I like the subject and rhythm. Well done. :)
