Welcome, Time

This one is fairly direct.

Oh misery, I welcome thee,
But only for a year.
Temptation stay away from me,
It's only you I fear.
If she and I will stay together
And for the trials be all the better
Then love shall hold us dear.

Oh Lord of Lords, I welcome thee,
And welcome thee to stay.
Empower me to stay the course
And never go astray.
If she and I are meant to be
Then all the time and misery
Will pass as if a day.

the only complaint I have is that I felt as if it was cut a bit short. pretty good poem overall I just think you could have gone further with it.
