Truth Be Told

Truth Be Told

A Poem by Steven Fleissner
"

Acoustic song

"
On a beach
Out of reach
Need to learn
Who's goin' to teach
Before sunrise, her brown brown eyes
So tired of mind's many lies

It's so hard to find the way
She always knew just how to say...
She must have prayed for me
Said it'd always be
Near or far from me
Said it'd always be...

At night they're bold
The truth be told
Sore subjects are growing old
Time of life is taking hold
This time of life is taking hold

So damned hard to find the way
She always knew just how to say...
She must have prayed for me
Said it'd always be
Near or far from me
Said it'd always be...

Absence makes a fonder heart
Tell the world 'til death do part
Eyes beaming
Smiles seeming...
Eyes beaming
Smiles seeming...

So hard to find the way
She always know just how to say...
Must have prayed for me
Said it's always be
Near or far from me
Said it's always be

I like it Ginny. It's filled with yearning and loss of what once was.
I stuck a loose reggae vibe to it (guitar claw hand style) and it flowed like nectar into my mind's ear.
