"Just Another Day in Paradise"

"Just Another Day in Paradise"

A Poem by Mark

As I listen to the birds, their songs carress the wind,

much as moonbeams dance on harpstrings, plucked at twilight.

The phantom embrace of time glides across all worlds,

transporting my subconcious murmerings to the forefront of

   my awakening.

As a dreamlike radiance exudes from my mind, I feel a

renewed sense of purpose, together with a shimmering of hope

the same sense of hope eternal that has helped me survive,

and has illuminated every tunnel these many years.

For without hope, we have nothing. Yet with it, we own the

   stars!

Thank you so much for your kind review.
'The phantom embrace of time glides across all worlds, .. .. '

For some reason, i could near hear these words spoken against music, perhaps, strings., You've created a lilt with that wonderful use of language - and the all important hope.

If I managed to do that, then that's fine by me! Thanks for your kind words.
smoothly done with stirring imagery...

and yes, without hope there is nothing...but we can reach the stars if we maintain that hope...

really like the "phantom embrace of time"

Paradise will never again be what it once was...

never. so we have to make it so in our own minds and hearts.
