Sorrow Drowns The Living And A Soul Dies

Sorrow Drowns The Living And A Soul Dies

A Poem by KAREN

Tears fall like rain on a dreary day,

I yearn to feel your breath

flowing on my cold dead body.

I beg the God above

to let me swim in the deepness

of your eyes

one more time.

I wish to rewind,

go back to days when I felt my

heart beat with life.

I remember crimson days

when our blood

pumped as one.

Kisses on my lips were

sweet,

warm,

and loving.

Now I'm shriveling away

like the last rose you gave me

on my birthday.

Your face is printed

forever in the depth

of me.

It's true

my love,

sorrow drowns the living,

and a soul

dies.

Days without you

numbs me to nonexistence.

I'm broken forever,

and

not even a new love can

glue me back together.

I lay at the head

of your grave

bruied eternally in your love.

This is absolutely emotional...The emotions right through the lines flowed so well and smoothly...A stunning work.

The saddest part. Photo is a spouse of a Soldier killed in these wars. I saw the photo elsewhere. I believe if the leaders of this country had their children doing police actions for oil and profit. War would end. A very sad poem. I have known many who have cried at friends graves dying in wars far away from their love one's. A powerful and sad poem.

Such imagination is weaved into this. I think it says a lot about the author who can vision such a thing. I enjoyed this. It was like a dream but more grounded. The subject matter itself captivated me.

Very dark and morbid but it certainly makes a statement on how powerful love can be when it dies.
