Her Heart Softly Beats Within

Feet glide upon freedom,

eyes scan a world that is new.

The garrote left fear,

leaving her vulnerable to life.

His laughter dances like raindrops,

and tears make themselves known as she steps out,

cushioned by dangling thoughts.

Voices vibrate into whispering wind,

and she shudders at how different

emotions feel in the early misty morning.

There's a copious of memories

blooming in vivid colors.

Standing tall she blindly searches,

trying to break through insecure mirrors

that make her want to turn and go back.

Her cleavage breathes in victory,

but amorous passion for him

wanders through her weightless body.

She lays a hand upon her chest,

and realizes she is nothing without him.

Freedom is slipping away,

for her heart softly beats within

his chest.

Locked away forever.

This is a sad tale but with time all things heals doesn't mean that scars aren't left behind and memories don't haunt within the minds eye. Vivid details are well done.

A very well written love poem full of romance and longing. I like it.

I love this story-poem-song...Sounds surreal, imaginary, out of the reality ,inside another world of fairies..because it`s love of heart, reminds me of the great book og French author Victor Hugo, "The man, who laugh"...as I imagine this graceful girl blind, as Dea, and keeping his heart forever...Love it!
