Whispers

There's a whisper in the air,

it has travelled thousands

of miles to reach my ear.

The whisper speak of

love undying.

Of incense and spice.

It speaks of death and

horrific acts in the

pursuit of wealth.

Where has the whisper

come from?

What has it seen before it

reached my ear?

It tells me of a secret place

where lovers meet under a

pale moon.

A small girl lost in the forest

and frightened.

It whispers the people's wants, 
their needs and their secret

longings.

Is this the whisper of life?

This is beautiful Bree. I always wonder if the wind has a million stories to tell. Always loved windy storms for that reason, you can just go out and stand in it like there's a thousand years running through you. Epic!

This was good! I liked the whisper, and how it traveled so far and has experience so much before you even hear it.
I think that all emotions and feelings were conveyed in this piece. I allowed the reader to be caught up in the whisper and see where it led.
