Sewn Shut Eyes

Sewn Shut Eyes

A Poem by John Stussy
"

*sigh*

"

Look into their sewn shut eyes.

Remember those exact faces.

Keep that memory close to you,

Keep it honed, keep it strong.

Use it to strengthen your soul;

It offers more power to you

As you grow as a man,

It strips you down to nothing.

Then,

You are coated in new armor,

Fresh-smithed steel cov'ring you.

Allows you to be strong for others,

Standing tall, reliable.

Relish the unbelievable pain,

Let it seep into every atom

Of your fragile body

Ane let it make you anew.

I

Will

Look

Into

Their

Sewn

Shut

Eyes.
