Love's Dream

Love's Dream

A Poem by Sue
"

The Ecstasy and the Agony...another touch of Shakespeare methinks :)

"

Surrender oh heart your secret longing

With all emotion do impart

That which is in you tell me true

What lies so deep and tears you apart

Dreams of a woman lonely and sad

Singing her unhappy song

Calls to her beloved

For him does she long

Yearning for love, its sweet tasting joys

Praying for an open door

Locked away fast with silvery key

Safe till awakening once more

Drawn to him so deeply

Needing so much

Arms fast around her

Lips with loving touch

Often she sees him handsome and strong

Wrenched is her heart deep in sorrow

Prays to her God will he yet love me

Maybe today or tomorrow

Surrender oh heart your secret longing

Unlock deep emotion from your breast

Hope for the day when love arrives

Then will sad heart finally rest
