Silent LoversA Poem by BethanyThe second part of this poem was meant to be the beginning, but was later changed. I had the idea of it in science class while working. I quickly wrote it down and it later bloomed into this. She was the storm; I was the ground. I was quiet. She was loud. Her heart was like fire. Her soul burned bright. I wasn’t ready for her power, And all her might. She rose to the top; Pushed all out of her way. None tried to fight her. It was too hard anyways. So, I sat there, There on that hard ground, Watching her diligently; Waiting for her to fall down. And when she fell, I was there. To hold her in my arms, And to pet her hair. I would not let her shatter. I would not let her break. I would push her back to the sky, And I would continue to wait. © 2016 BethanyAuthor's Note
