talking with god

talking with god

A Poem by Hermione

I once found myself in a meadow, capturing a willow through the sunset

 the pond full of dead

a ray of light spoke as if mine were the only ears

and there is nothing higher to hear

I asked him for death but was met with grains grown,

in memories sown we faced each other

friends and foes indeed and no talk was spent

just honest only speaking and I thought only of myself

as I ask why I was left and in his laugh

he spoke of me, as well and of course he knows

as he is all beyond myself I saw and he said

“ I’d given you those eyes so please do not close them,

I have given you this heart for you to live in, but do not close its doors

I have given you those ears to absorb all of the thoughts

that gave you your skin which formed your hands

so be charitable as it made you

 be those shoulders

such blessings are yours

in the line of your essential senses”.
