Reflection of the Sun

This big ball of light

Burning brightly in the Universe.

Warming those who bask in its rays,

Smiles radiating, skin glowing.

Every planet revolves around it,

Yet the sun stays still,

An intense sphere of fire,

Heat beyond measure.

On the other hand,

the sun also burns; it scorches.

Annoyance surfaces as the sun

Keeps shining, sometimes too

Much for many.

Intensity causes anger, makes

Blood boil, but everyone looks

Forward to the sun.

It mesmerizes, stirs anticipation.

I look at my reflection in the mirror

And I see sunshine emulating through my eyes,

The intensity piercing through my pupils.

Like the sun, I warm others with my rays,

Bring smiles to those around me.

Yet on bad days I scorch, wound, and

Those around me feel my power.

My fiery moods can annoy others.

I expect those to revolve around me,

Although they are all spinning on their

Own axes, I don’t dictate that.

However, at the end of the day no one

Forgets about me.

For I am the sun.

I light the waters with rays,

Provide warmth on their skin,

And smiles on their faces.

I accept my flaws, and my strengths.

I am a Sun Goddess,

And I burn brightly.

with intensity that either scorches,

Or warms others with

My rays of happiness.

A reflection of the sun.
