Say Fromage

Say Fromage

A Poem by Poetic Shambles

Sugar in my coffee

to make it bittersweet,

a Spanish toffee apple

dipping fluids in defeat,

looking for answers

hidden underneath your clothes,

to feel a sense of yearning

from that of an English rose.

Sometimes it feels right,

but most of the time wrong,

like drinking something hot

feel it slowly burn the tongue,

and sometimes a good plant

will grow out of a bad seed,

but we lose our sense of direction

by letting the blind take the lead.

I hear that nostalgia

isn’t what it used to be,

but I suppose the same can be said

about you and about me,

and while I wish you the best

in all of future’s tests,

my errors in speech,

they no longer belong to thee.

:) There is a foundation of wisdom lying underneath these pretty words...a lovely portrayal of people nearing the parting roads...I have heard a wise one say that when two must part it is because they have learned and taught each other all that there was to be learned and taught..this is truly lovely..

Again a piece that makes you think about things. An odd title, whether or not you know the meaning of it, but at the same time it kinda makes sense for this poem.

These lines are phenomenal, they really stick with you and almost get stuck in your head like a familiar song.
