Little bird told me...

Little bird told me...

A Poem by Susan Capozzi
"

love poetry

"

Shall tell, I heard
A little bird
Sing sweetly my life's song
Forthcoming's blessed
He did attest
"Love for me will belong!"

Life's journey glows
Good Lord, bestows
Bright gift upon my heart
What hardship brings
Gallant soul sings
 Forging our brand new start

Then joy abounds
Delight resounds
Of wonder and surprise
True tender love
(sent from above)
Was little bird's reprise

Begged, tell me more!
Will he adore
And hold me everyday?
Shall tell, that bird
Said not a word
But winked and flew away.

I like the way this message sounds fragmented in short choppy lines, as this would be the sound of a bird imparting its wisdom. Good use of rhyme & imagery to convey your many sensations of good will & hopefulness. In today's gloomy world, a bright uplifting poem like this is a treasure (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

beautiful, lovely and touching. clever ending. sometimes words are not necessary in love, especially from above. :)

The very last part, where the bird winks and flies away, you made it look so sweet. I could see that happening in front of my eyes. Such a wonderful poem!

Most welcome
Goodness-ME!
What's to say, Susan, when such enthrallment has on'es breath in its grasp?
From presentation to flow as warm and sweet as honey, you've caressed the senses of all whom come to read and be blessed by such heavenly wonderment from the depths of your effulgent mind, heart, and soul ... whew, I'm swept!
Picture embraces, ambiance of your words captivate, and ... well, I could write a book on the effects of this one, Dear Lady-Poet.

Thank you ever-so warmly! ⁓ Richard :)
