My Tree House

My Tree House

A Poem by Swagato Saha

Amidst the enormous grooves that surround,
On the tallest tree,
I'll build my exotic tree house,
Just for my friends and me.

Wood from the woods shall we gather,
And decorations to make it brighter,
And paint it red and blue and green!
Oh, our tree house shall indeed be amazing!

Four cozy rooms must be there,
With toys scattered here and there,
Tidy shelves will keep our books,
Not the school ones! I mean story books!

The softest couches will be arranged,
And all walls will be painted,
Besides beds, for us to sleep
And there'd be a cushion for dear Meep.

Wouldn't it be a wonderful place?
Where all day long, laughter shall prevail,
With no teachers to shout at us!
So tell me, if you'd like to join us!
