Inside the Inferno!

Inside the Inferno!

A Poem by Sagar Waingankar

There is fear in my mind,
For things that are mine,
There are many emotions attached,
Irrespective of their kind.

When I say, 'I'm fearless',
I inspire myself.
A wave of excitement,
Adds to my adrenaline.

As soon as I see,
My loved ones in pain.
All of a sudden I start losing,
Whatever I gained.

Thoughts of concern,
Start circling in my head.
I start feeling dizzy,
About how heavy is my brain.

My actions are silly,
And foolish at that time.
As indifferent thoughts,
Are confusing my mind.

Ability to be patient,
Starts rising inside.
Belief in facts and certainty,
Starts controlling my mind.

Body starts moving,
With all these happening inside.
Engaged in performing actions,
As directed by my mind.

Every thought becomes steady,
As the pain goes blind.

Now body comes to a still,
Waiting for directions,
As they are planned inside.

To follow an impulse to the four corners, brings a person to much new experience. But the event turns into a circus of meaningless movements without a guide. The individual needs to tie himself to a love interest, an object of adoration, an objective in life etc. that may be relied upon to create the guide. Make the pledge, committment or consecration....then does it move with purpose. Nice write!

A nice tale in this poem. Some inferno can be more dangerous then others. I like the description. Allow the reader to feel the desire of this poem. A good ending to a excellent poem.

I identify with the restlessness that you describe in your poem... sometimes you have a bountiful of energy and you don't know what you are doing.. a very well written piece

Doubt causes fear .. We can not know someone's mind .. As you calm the self, peace and strength return .. And clear clean thought and purpose return and guide ..

good thoughts .. Jazz
