Mental Stress

Mental Stress

A Poem by Sagar Waingankar

We often think about right or wrong?
As the ultimate idea is to decide,
Decisions are mainly taken to get things done,
At times even black shines more than white.

Today I think, I'm quite bright,
My thoughts motivate me to write,
After few years I may grow old,
Hope to cherish seeds of light deep inside.

What you have will always remain precious for you,
But don't expect the same praise from others,
As time brings new ideas, new thoughts in place.
'Old is gold' too sounds quite old today.

It doesn't really matter,
Whether you are rich or poor,
Whether you are in coats or rags,
Unless you are happy with what you have.

If you are too negative about things you carry,
Then it's quite hard to sustain,
You need to think about things for you,
You need to grow up before time runs out.

Everything will occur as planned for you!

Age isn't always maturity and sometimes, with age, maturity may lessen. Tolerance is neither acceptance nor a gift. History is always written by the victors and lived by its survivors. Heroes and villains can be someone else's perception of the same person. The truth isn't black or white it just is.

I agree with you. Life has become a routine so that people just want to get over with it and everything about it. What it takes to be happy is...nothing! Nothing at all. As you said, with or without money, appreciation and all, one can be equally happy. :)

Our lives revolve around the experience of the self and the other. Where the other is the world, it may be our obligation to be the self. Nice write!
