Busy Work

Busy Work

A Chapter by Norma M Sutton

Busy work is what I do
When I think of you

Busy work to distract
What you attract

Busy work fills my days
Puts me into a misty haze

Busy work fills the void
But leaves me feeling annoyed

Busy work gets much done
Before the setting of the sun

But

Busy work does not fill
The void I feel

As I sit alone
Thinking of you

The sense of isolation even in the midst of business was well-captured. The ending was succinct and sad.

Nice flow of thoughts in this poem. I like the desire to try to stay busy and it is not possible to forget. Thank you for the excellent poetry.

This is really good. The sadness in this I can relate to and I'm sure many more can relate to as well.
