Memory

Memory

A Poem by Sydney Rachel
"

“‘Lost love is still love, Eddie. It takes a different form that’s all… Memory. Memory becomes your partner. You nurture it. You hold it. You dance with it.’” -- The Five People You Meet in Heaven

"

Dancing on

Air

Just a breath

Away

From the one you

Love.

So sweet is

She

Like the first

Dew drops

In the

Morning.

Time

Snatches her

Beyond your

Reach.

Yet memory,

Her sweet memory

Keeps her with you

At all times.

She dances through

Your mind

When you remember her.

And she whispers

“I love you”

In a way only

You

Can hear.

I completely agree with Jennifer.
The structure made this even more enjoyable.
Such a great topic, as well.

I take it the quote was your inspiration?
Well, that's a wonderful quote, and it led to a beautiful poem.
Fantastic job.

i have to say, i love the structure you use in your poetry. the breaking of lines creates a rhythm that lets the tone show through. absolutely amazing, and definately one of my favorites
