Forest and City

Forest and City

A Poem by SydneyLK
"

Another 100 word piece.

"
I found the notes all torn up on the stone wall.

Nothing could explain them. Lord knows I can't do it here.

They were soggy, the ink ran, indecipherable after all the rain.

The birds twittered over head, way up the tall, skinny maples.

Can you explain?

What’s there to fear?

This was inescapable, unmanned drone evil.

It carried with me everywhere I went, forest, city, you can’t shake it.

It was spring chewing at the foundation.

This revolution wasn’t televised, but it won’t be forgotten when we lose it all.

It’s much too far to crawl. On your knees.

Very solid tone. It says a lot without having to say much; it's what I like to read.

Your welcome.
I like your 100 word challenges you do, I'll have to start doing them. I liked how you described the sodden pages, I could visualize the ink running on the pages as someone picked them up.
