Moon Dance

Moon Dance

A Poem by Ocean Orchid

I will meet you some where in time ....

           Where the Moon dances ....
             On the crumbling desert roses...

          Where the Moon dances ....
on your feeble yet luminous eyelashes....

Where the world has not broken down into …
Fragmented vicious thoughts of age old fallacy..

         Where the moon dances ……

On thousands of Street children’s midnight dreams…

                   After a tough day’s drudgery …

               May be there someday …..

Oh! the drifting Winds ... Clouds ....

                    On the ancient horizon ….
Please! Whisper the message to her ....

Have you heard "moondance" song by Van Morrison? similar to that. This poem is very good, another one of your masterpieces, I feel. This is above average, maybe you should look into getting it published in a magazine or something. It's short, yet strong, and well written. thanks for sharing.

You absolutely have a style all your own, laced with passion and intent,
depth and allows the reader to open their mind to new ideas,
crafted with quality, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this awsome romantic work,

Usually I do not review my own piece, here is a exception, Dani, The name Moon Dance came to me very
spontaneously as I hv fascination about moonlight & as I'm not a very through listener of Van Morrison , but obviously a fan .... though I hvn't heard the song ... with the same title .... but it feels great to hv this sweet coincidence, And yr poem with the same title is also a coincidence .... so take it easy my friend ...

WOW! I should change my title!! lol I didn't realize you had written a poem called Moon Dance, I feel like such a title thief! :P I've done that twice now in the past few weeks. Perhaps I'll do a title search from now on.. lol.

Your poem. It's wonderful!

Oh! the drifting Winds ... Clouds ....

On the ancient horizon .
Please! Whisper the message to her ....

wow....all in all I am very speechless

The flow of your poem is elegant, and the way it's structured is very beautiful.

And it has a very personal feel to it, like I could apply this to my life in a way. Great job

there's a mystical whimsical feel to it

the entwining of wanting to meet this person somewhere in time with the moon makes for an interesting metaphorical concept, one that if you pinned down and tried to refine could give more depth to your poem...
