Borrowed Time

Borrowed Time

A Poem by Tarry Franck

I cried a sea of tears
For so many
But for you
They are endless
And I just can't pinpoint why
Is it because I miss you
Is it because I want you
Or is it because I want this to end
Did I live nothing but a lie,
The I miss yous
The I cares
The I love yous
Did you really dare
Or were they the truths,
That I so desperately needed to hear
Needed to know
To make my pulse race
So I would not let you go,
So much wonder
So much promise
So much doubt
But that's what life deals us
When we are in love
Nothing is set in stone
You live on borrowed time
And borrowed time alone.

I agree with the words above and the poem. Funny how we lose people and one day wonder what happens? I like the question s in the poem. We need to enjoy every second of life. Wasted action and words will lay heavy upon our heart later. Thank you for the outstanding poetry.

This poem reminds me of a few poems I've written. Though worded differently we have penned the same emotion. ♡

Thank you so much Anto
Great job, this poem about borrowed time does seem to be shaped in the form of an hourglass! I have been taking a course on creating shape poetry so I appreciate that . The poem itself is beautiful and heartfelt.

words are pleasure, and they are pain. it is all a matter of context. none of it is wasted time though, everything is a lesson.... for the next plateau. well done, Tarry
