The Dark Lord

The Dark Lord

A Poem by Tarry Franck

The dark lord woke me again
The other day
I know for I heard him say "Hey",
I jumped from my bed
To find nobody there
But felt a presence
And didn't like the essence,
What do you want I ask
And received no response
Why bother with the task,
He realizes fear beats in my heart
When he is around
And don't give a damn
If he rips my heart apart.

The feeling of terror when no physical presence isn't there ... great telling Tarry. :-)

Thank you very much
The Dark Lord is always near. Easy to fall into his thoughts and desire. I like the poem. Led the reader to a interesting ending. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
