Hope For The Best

My life making a complete turn around

Thanks to a man

I have found,

He completes me

More than I thought

Would ever happen

With the way he makes me feel,

I wish I could open my heart 

More than I am

So I can give him the same

And have that fresh start,

Due to my past

I build walls that I need to release

And hopefully that

Will happen fast,

In the meantime

Hopefully he will

Have patience with me

Because I've been dealt 

Such bad times,

All I can do is hope for the best

Because this is truly

Another time in my life

That is a lifetime test.

I have done the same thing from my last relationship...put up walls so that I find it hard to trust...now that I've found someone new...I work hard to find the trust I need to start a new life with him...it's hard to learn to trust when your heart has been broken from a bad relationship...but hope for the trust once again...another good write...

Another great heart felt poem Tarry, life has a strange way of working and although love can tear us apart it can also rebuild us and give us back the trust to let ourselves go again. The hurt we have felt before makes us more careful and suspicious in future. It is rightly so, because we need to protect ourselves. But at times the walls become so strong that we can't tear them down for the one we love, so we need them to understand and be patient while we slowly try to get rid of the walls. Very nice, and very true in some cases where people are just so afraid of being hurt again.
