THE CONTRADICTION OF FACT

THE CONTRADICTION OF FACT

A Story by john Robinson
"

When fact becomes contradiction,or should i say, when people don't like what is said, then it isn't true.

Requested changes Hello, thank you for submitting your article on,(name withheld). We are interested in collecting and distributing news and articles based on facts, not on speculation and personal opinion. You could try and rewrite the article from a news point of view or choose another subject. We look forward to hearing from you. Thank you again for your article.

Now I realize, and have been in the business of life long enough,to have learned to accept rejection, and,or critic. Only if it doesn't contradict something that was said,or written at an earlier time.

I sent this site a story that I have here called,”THE REALIZATION OF GETTING OLD”,(Available on this site). It's me complaining about how those of the AARP generation, are treated by those of the 1999 generation, but it gets into a bit more. A couple of you have read it. It has four parts, and I sent the first part to the site. Basically to see what kind of reaction I would receive. On their site and in their advertisements,(Seen on Face Book),there is no mention of news articles and facts. This is what it says:

Name withheld,is a community of bright and like-minded people with an active involvement in socio-cultural, political and environmental matters, who are eager to write about both the positive and negative realities of the world. (Age is a reality, and so is age discrimination).

Our members are driven by passion and performance and are enthusiastic about being part of an unspoiled, groundbreaking and powerful community. Here their work continues to be monetized and valued indefinitely.

Now the word,”Reality” would be the only word in this ad that would imply that they are looking for more fact than fiction. In the words of Kelly Ann Conway,”There are alternative facts”. Here's a fact.

When you submit your article,a little video pops up with a guy somewhere in his thirties, that thanks you. Thirty something. How do you think he feels when reading an article written obviously by an older gentleman, that depicts a war between the generations? The answer is in the beginning of this article. So he basically makes my point. Everything that I have written in my story,”The realization of getting old,is written from my experiences. It is by no means speculation. Do I add opinion? I write as I see it. You can take that anyway you wish. Here's another fact:

A generation gap is widening in the workplace. As baby boomers (ages 51 to 69 or so) express reluctance about retiring, so-called millennial's (roughly ages 18 to 34) have become the single largest demographic in the American labor force.Aug 7, 2015 .

This is exactly the point, and it is not speculation. So not only does this site contradict it's self. It makes what I have written even more prevalent because its true, and once again I have experienced it.
