Don't

Don't

A Poem by taylor.mickles

Don't ask me how, don't ask me why
There's always heartache behind each sigh
My hands are cold
We're telling lies
Nobody cares, nobody cries
My hearts a stone, there is no beat
What a tragic place for us to meet
Don't tell me who, don't speak their name
Knowing less keeps me sane
Just watch your breath change with the air
Don't try to touch me, don't you dare

My eyes are wet, but my cheeks are dry
Don't ask me how, don't ask me why
We speak of love and how it dies
Nobody cares, nobody cries
My heart's a stone, there is no beat
You have trampled it under your feet
Don't tell me who, don't speak their name
The love was gone the moment it came
Don't ask me when, don't ask me where
We took it off and left it there
