Moon Cinema

Moon Cinema

A Poem by Richard Williams
"

Starring the moon.

"

Last night you would have enjoyed it too,
if somehow you could have been there,
even for just a brief time in the park,
with your back up against the log fence...
bathed in the light of October moon.
A pearl of great price beaming warm light,
moonbeams for this often island earth,
educated illumination,
sea of tranquility projection,
meandering wisps of white upon water...
Movie made of solitary moon:
Admission free, no usher‘s user fee.

How the full moon can punctuate the night!
Like a birthing in a sterile sea,
or even a song in an eternity of silence.
Candlepower of sky, cratered orb
with forethought to render intriguing enlightenment.
One dashing mass of moon startling
even the ambivalent into an escapade of escape.
Now showing in the firmament's theater.
