The treasured cloud!

The treasured cloud!

A Poem by Blessed Vagrant

Some people come and go away like the passing cloud but a few leave their traces behind..

Wow!

I started flying

High in the air I am swinging

Mom told me that I can live my own life now...

My head feels flexible and I can even make up an ease-bow

My wings seem extremely strong now

Dad calls me a grown up dove

Like all the elders I finally got my freedom

Time to stand on my own feet and build my own nest

I gave a heavy heartfelt bye to my family and drove forward myself into the blues

I hear the rhythmic harmonic chords striking the natures' strings

The beautiful happy waters running swiftly into the massive ocean

The fish swimming playfully and skillfully  with devotion

Dolphins dancing and diving with their drools

The air moving around making swirls and whirls

The trees waving their bushy green palms

The hills and the mountains sleeping in the calms...

As I am celebrating the merriness in the independence

There came a pigeon in my way looking at me with a confusion in her eyes..

She saw me from the sideways of her glittery eyes

Those are the eyes I never have seen

Her eyelids looked light like the petals of a flower

Those eyes are looking at me with a mild hidden fright

There is a pain, a sorrow in her gaze

Those pale bluish red eyes reflecting a dreadful fear

I smiled at her without a thought and said hi

She didn't reply me back

Instead started flying back swiftly in the other direction..

I got terrified and ran towards her trying to block her way

Then again I saw her eyes, hiding something

Something hidden deep in those balls

Those eyes are speaking....speaking with the heart

I stopped her, held her loosely by the feathers and patted on her back

Then suddenly and immediately,

Water droplets fell down from the corner of her fishy eyelids

I then realized that she started crying

I stood there dumbstruck not knowing what to do

She wept like a baby, crying in the silence, shivering, holding onto me

I gently caressed her furry wings with those of mine

I held her a little more strongly but too much more carefully

She cried and cried, sobbing unto my shoulder until no more water is left

After a few minutes she stopped and looked ghastly at my face

Feeling a bit uneasy she jerked slightly away from me

We stood there quietly for a few more moments waiting each of us for the other to break the incessant reticence of our souls

Then finally, she cleared her throat...

And said "thank you" with a consoled agony in her voice

She smiled back at me flapping her wings and looked at me again

Those exhaustive moon lit eyes speak something else now

They are showering the rays of gratitude

Those pearls in her oysters are shining with a satisfaction

The wet sunflower lifted it's head towards the sun as if to catch the light

And drifted away into the woods passing me without turning back

I remained still like a statue, staring into the way she left

My shoulder's still wet carving an unblemished mark in my heart!
