Monster

I’m frightened of what I have become.

I don’t know where it has come from.

Yet I lay awake in bed at night

Kept up with fright.

 

My nightmares haunt me.

All I want is to be free.

I’m sinking into this depression once more.

Living is becoming a chore.

 

I am a monster within my mind.

I must be left behind.

All I do is hurt others near me.

As I drown in this dark sea.
