PORCH SWING

PORCH SWING

A Poem by KCthelastboyscout
"

Realizing the moment you find the place where you belong

"
Saturday... A quiet afternoon. Overcast skies. Light rain. The neighbors are inside. The yards are empty. The world is still. I do not take this moment for granted. This life is so much better than a dream. It's real... In the pleasure of your company. (fiction)

Very lovely :-) It's short but succinct.

So easily you paint the scene. Makes me want to be there, to remember the times when I was there.I really like your "painting."

A wonderful poem. I miss the days of the swinging porch and good company. The simple days. Sweeter and better. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry. I enjoyed this one.

I think it’s a more positive piece for the start of a new year who knows maybe even a new you, even the bad can turn good you know

This reads like true mindfulness, being able to look, feel and appreciate the little (and big) blessings.

I like it. Sometimes the grand gestures and over-blown theatrics are less impactful than the simple things.

Best, Sunny
