This That I Fear

This That I Fear

A Poem by Kaden Sylvers
"

.... (library's closing, no time to describe, read the poem instead!!)

"

But what is it, that I fear,

my cold reflection in the

windowsill looks frightenly

like her, like someone she could

like, but what is it, this fear,

in my eyes, in my heart,

shaking my world, in everything

I do, it’s coming down to this,

how much would I risk to be

with her, but what is it, that I fear,

how important is she, I must ask myself,

but what is it, this answer I fear, that

she is everything to me, she is my muse,

and I feel so empty inside, however

cliché that is, cliché it is, but she

is anything but cliché, but what is it,

that I fear, oh I fear, but I must

banish my fear, must not be a coward,

must release myself, must seek her out,

or else she will never know, my passion

for her will remain invisible, secret, unknown,

unreal, but what is it, that I fear, I fear,

that my world will be torn apart, existance

so fragile, will dissapear, and what is this,

that I fear, that I must banish, this that I fear.

It began to be too long. I think you could say more with fewer words, only because you have in other works. This is very good and stands as a reminder to all to face those fears, even if we only fear who are or who we have become. Nicely done, very impressive images.

This is great and I like how it ran on and on. I think we fear ourselves the most of all sometimes, I think, perhaps, that is what this poem you've written is about.

I really liked this. It hit the spot :)
The style really grew on me about half-way through. It could be messy and confusing, but it's really not. It has a great rhythm that really works.
It does feel like we got into your head and we can all relate to the feelings, but it's not unoriginal either.

My favorite part:
"and I feel so empty inside, however
cliché that is, cliché it is, but she
is anything but cliché, but what is it,
that I fear, oh I fear, but I must
banish my fear, must not be a coward,
must release myself, must seek her out,
or else she will never know,"

I love the ending as well.

I love this, it seems to flow pretty well. It's a bit of a run-on, but that seems suitable because it's like your thoughts are running out of control. Well-done. :)

We all have those fears - this and that, that and this...Thanks for sharing this piece. Keep on writing!

my passion for her will remain invisible, secret, unknown, unreal, but what is it, that I fear, ----- the unknown, but there's nothing to be afraid of...it's all good. Just do it.
