Our Greastest Pinnacle

Our Greastest Pinnacle

A Poem by Alastair
"

a poem of man's achievements

"
I walked through the cities of the damned
Seen the destruction man placed on earth
I have witnessed the cannibalism
Of these men who don’t eat human flesh
And the sad thing is it doesn’t sicken me
I merely laugh at the cruelties of the world
For I know the bounds of their destiny
No, their fate

I have seen the horrors of this world
As men will be glad to HELP kick you, when you’re down
The poor hating themselves and the rich hating the poor
The bliss on my face watching as they cry
The question of truth is of man.
Is he deserving as he thinks?
Killing, stealing, corrupting, manipulating
And half of us are seeing shrinks

You do have the few who try to clean up
This wicked, dirty, corrupted world
But mostly all fail with little honor
Being tempted by the glory of valuables
Man is a conniving, pathetic excuse
Of a higher species yet we’re the least respectable
As we have done things so horrible
Animals wouldn’t repeat it
And that’s our greatest pinnacle in life
