Tormenting Alice

Tormenting Alice

A Poem by
"

A harsh story of a pure innocent school-girl Death lurks, seeking a soul...and Alice is pushed right in front of him.

"

Dance fever

Pain reciever

She's known as a dork

Peace preacher

Veggie eater

Rumors shake her to her core

Until...At last

She breaks down in tears

Pain bottled up from all these years

Can't fight the madness

No escaping this horrible mess

Of lies, of truth

Twisted...until it's curled to its groove

Never did anything wrong

But still their hate for her is strong

What will it take to seem normal?

She scans all her style

Thinking that if she changes, she may be able to smile

She's wrong...of course

The way she used to be was filled with glamour

Getting rid of all her past

Just to satisfy them, it's sad

Has a whole new different outlook

On life, and people she used to think were cool

She's hurting herself now

Finding that the tormenters are only fighting more, now calling her a cow

She believed every single word they had spit

From that moment on, the last-resorted light was lit

Picking

Not eating

She stares at each morsel

But digesting, to her, is cheating

Calories counted

Her health drained to a drought

Bags lay underneath her eyes

Constantly being judged, forced to be disguised

She just wanted to be beautiful

Instead, turning into an insecure, weak, hungry monster

She keeps on with her disorder

Her doctors warning of her life coming to a closure

All she could see, though, was how pretty she was starting to get

And with that, her stubborn mind was set

Hoping that she would return to her bullies

And show them how good she looked

Someone they could never forget.

Over just a few months, she had stopped growing

Weight demolished

Bones that were supposed to be hidden were now showing

Her hair thinning

Everytime she stood, her head would go spinning

In school, students finally idolized her for her pain

And being popular was no longer a strain

Her body, however, was beaten to shame

And one morning...

Her organs stopped working

Her tormenters attended the funeral

For one of them stepped up for a speech after being called

He said a few words that brought tears to all:

"Alice, that remarkable girl

Every time I saw her, nothing else mattered in the world

I was in love

But with a loser, so my feelings were stalled

I admit that I called her horrible names

Feeling regret, uncertainty with myself; shame

I helped break her down without a pitying thought or word

Never could have thought of being her murderer

She was so nice, high-spirited, energetic

My actions were brutal, and pathetic

Above all my tormenting, though...she was my crush

Unfortunately, my feelings for her weren't enough

I had to keep my rep

Although, killing her, that was something I never meant

Alice had hopes and dreams

Now she will never be able to understand life, and its meaning

We were monsters

Only caring of ourselves

She should have lived, but that's what we costed her

I will never forgive myself for killing Alice

And this is one thing I am certain for."

Author's Note

This never really happened to me, but I thought that this topic would be a challenge to write in a poem. I did it, and I loved this poem. I hope you did too!

You did very well with this poem. Could teach people to be kind. Negative words do not help anyone. A wise person speak kind words and is friendly with people who are alone and scare. I like the description and the way you ended this poem. Thank you for the outstanding poem.
