Pushing Through It AllA Poem by thefrozenfireMy past is like ripped pages of a novel.
I write on my palm
Forbidden words I would never say aloud In this world, so naked Stripped from my true feelings Having to find myself from the suffocating crowd I've asked myself repeatedly If I was worth it all As soon as I make up my mind of throwing it all away My memories play back to me Like a slideshow on a projector wall My eyes flitter The metal taste never escaping my lips I have so much to say, So much to give Why do I always have regrets? I guess your past is only footsteps behind you But sometimes I want to be left alone I'm capable of making my own decisions Always paranoid of darkness returning And swallowing me into it's home. I've made a lot of mistakes But I have learned from them all Moving on, I've made my peace Looking forward to life, I have my dreams... And I will achieve them Doing what ever it takes. © 2012 thefrozenfireAuthor's Note
