vile

vile

A Poem by m.s.early

before her tongue sparks electric flitterings
wherein vile cacophony splatters walls
(perhaps her pride will never be extinguished).

can the tongue bless and curse?
her eyes are gleaming as her mouth is wielding
and those dreadful scars  lighted upon the shoulders
whether deserved or not.

can a fountain be bitter and sweet?
placed, supple syllables seared deep,
scratched the surface then dug for more;
there will be no word misspoken.

where does the bit get placed which steers the body?
her horse teeth chomp freely;
(she is no wonder riderless),
and her reigns were left stabled.

she belches up flowers,
they have lost all their sweet.

the wicked prepare to denounce her.

Your piece says everything, all wrapped up into one and you blew me away.

she belches up flowers,
they have lost all their sweet.

That says it all - and wonderfully! Great piece, Xavier.

To me the character sounds like a man who is in love with a woman who does not at all deserve him. He knows this, but despite the fact he loves her anyway. Though, he still hates some of her tendencies. Awesome write! :)

Difficult to decipher such good poetry :) The senses seem aroused and yet feel a demise, a powerful combination...this shall linger because it is so vivid...I think poetry at times, needs to be digested for a few times before the reader lets their thoughts be penned (or typed). Like learning guitar, leave it to stir the imagination a while and all else follows ;) x

sounds like an unflinching harridan who has a penchant for being invective to some one who doesn't deserve it. then she wonders why she's riderless.

A great and fabulous write, a female character portrayed as so unwelcoming for the regular eyes of lay man, but to the poet she is unique, irreplaceable, she is sweet and bitter same time for making her reign stabled, not sure why the poet is changing the topics so abruptly, few days back a dream character who writes the sweet letters in scented envelope, now a character way different for poetry, let time may say what all other stocks in that brain, congrats, fully enjoyed

I would have to agree with red's review pretty much. This is a brilliant write, and probably one of my favourite of yours to date.
